REQUIREMENTS TO HUNT IN SÄFSEN

• Säfsen Hunting Lodge manages Swedish government hunting permits for foreign guests including all the formalities and fees.
• Firearms licence & Insurance
• To participate in a bear hunt, Guns must hold a Bear passport. Please see the Svenska Jägarförbundet website for more information.
• In the case of elk hunts, a shooting test on site is sufficient | this will be organised at a shooting range ahead of the hunt with 3 shots within the target with the ammunition to be used in the hunt.

 

SÄFSEN HUNTING LODGE HAS AN ORGANISATION THAT CONSISTS OF

• The Hunt Leader | is employed to lead the hunt and actively pursues wildlife care and conservation throughout the year and is responsible for safety, communication and the actual shooting while the hunt is in progress.
• 5 dog handlers with fully trained gun dogs | are also responsible for handling kills
• The Hunt coordinator | is employed during hunting seasons with responsibility for vehicles, transport of kill and catering during hunts
• An Administrator | has responsibility for bookings, planning of training courses, invoicing and day to day accounting

Säfsen Hunting Lodge AB works closely with two local shooting ranges, Tyfors bänkskyttebana and Vargmossens Jaktskyttebana | skeet, trap, roe deer and elk.

ORGANISED ELK HUNTS FOR EXTERNAL GUESTS

The following hunting is available subject to availability
• Hunt Week | 5 hunting days, all-inclusive with hunting, kill fee, food and accommodation
Place in an organised hunt 15-21 hunters | weeks 42
Exclusive hunt for groups | weeks 42-44
   COST: 3250 euro per Gun, incl. VAT.

• Hunt Days | 2 or 3 shooting days, all-inclusive with hunting, kill fee, food and accommodation
Place on organised hunt | weeks 41-44
Exclusive hunt for groups | weeks 41-44

COST 3 days: 2350 euro per Gun, incl. VAT.

• Individual Hunting Days | minimum 2 shooting days, all-inclusive with hunting, kill fee, food and accommodation
Hunt with personal gun dog handler | weeks 44-45

GAME BIRDS
Game bird shoots are offered as an individual hunt, where each beat can have max. 3 Guns. Food and accommodation ordered via Säfsen Hunting Lodge AB.
COST per beat per day SEK 190 euro during the first two weeks of the hunt season, then 150 euro per beat per day until week 42 – max 3 Guns per beat.
After week 44, 70 euro per hunter per day. Max brace of birds per day and Gun, plus brace of trophy birds per occasion, from 25 August to 15 November. Thereafter, max one trophy bird per hunting day.

GAME BIRD HUNTING WITH HUNT GUIDE
Starting from autumn 2019, we can offer exclusive hunting experiences with a guide and both barking bird dogs and standing gun dogs. Max two guns per guide.
Our guides are very familiar with our estates and have good dogs. We can also offer full board on inquiry.

One day hunt guiding: 350 euro plus hunt fee.
